I traveled around the end of the year and the beginning of the year.
So I haven't been able to post for a few days.
I am posting for the first time in 2024.
It's awkward to write 2024 when writing the date.
My thoughts today are about the question of what assets do I use as a standard.
There are many different types of assets.
There are real estate, various stocks, intellectual property rights, or management rights to the company.
Whether money is based on the dollar or the won
Different strategies should be made depending on which country's money will be based on.
Suppose you make money by trading Bitcoin
Let's say that over the course of four years, the conversion of US dollars into my account has increased from a thousand dollars to five thousand dollars.
It is very positive that we have made five times the profit.
But compared to just buying bitcoin four years ago and continuing to hold it
Did Bitcoin Increase in Number?
Maybe not.
This trader used a good strategy based on the dollar,
It may not have been a good strategy based on Bitcoin.
Every person is in his or her own situation
There are assets with greater need
If it's real estate, Korean real estate will be more valuable if you live in Korea.
It is easy to manage, and assets can be used directly, leased, or used in various ways.
But if you buy a property in New York, USA
There may be advantages, but there may be inconveniences and costs
It will be a relatively less necessary asset.
But if you think about those same assets in terms of people living in the U.S.
Real estate in the U.S. will have a higher relative value than real estate in Korea.
As such, everyone has advantages and more important assets depending on their situation.
I have to think about how to live my lifestyle in the future first.
And if you've decided on the lifestyle you want,
It should be based on the most suitable and favorable assets in that lifestyle.
And I have to strategize on increasing my base assets
Before I knew Bitcoin, I thought of the dollar as my base asset.
Although I live in Korea,
My goal and dream lifestyle is better suited to living in America.
I want to accumulate assets and live in the U.S. if possible.
So, rather than increasing the assets of the Korean won as the exchange rate moves
Efforts were made to increase dollar assets.
There are times when they buy and sell Korean stocks in a timely manner,
Sometimes they buy and sell U.S. stocks.
It was important to increase the total amount converted into dollars rather than the total amount converted into won.
I'm exposed to Bitcoin
Imagine the possibility of this system
As the use gradually increases, I think Bitcoin will become a key asset in the Internet world.
Just as gold has played its role in the real world for thousands of years
I think Bitcoin will play the role of gold in the Internet world.
Bitcoin has become a key currency in the real world, so it can be used as a key currency in dollars and euros
I don't think it will replace all our currencies.
Money doesn't just work in the market as a single one.
In the current situation of humanity
The system of the state plays many roles.
It's true that bitcoin opens up another possibility
There is no complete replacement for the system of the state.
I can do the certification and some of the roles that the state does instead
Many other areas will continue to be undertaken by the state.
Until we have another collective operating system.
The state collects taxes through state-issued currency
Through it, infrastructure is established to provide convenience to people living in the country.
In order for this system to be maintained, state-issued currency must survive.
The role of bitcoin is
It's not like we're going to distribute in units that go beyond the country
It can only be used in distributions in the online world.
The offline and online economies will exceed 50:50 in the future
The online proportion may increase to around 30:70.
After decades in this way
The most preferred asset for many people is
It could be Bitcoin, not U.S. Treasuries and dollars.
But just like the radio continues even after the TV comes out
Just as the TV system is maintained even after various Internet platforms are released
You're only going to lose your share,
I believe that the money issued by the state will continue to play its role.
What's happening in this paradigm
I think it will take 30 years from now and 50 years at the longest.
I didn't analyze any particular statistics or data
It starts the existing technological revolution, it spreads, it spreads,
When you look at the average amount of time that applies to most people
I think it will take that long.
There's a very good chance that it's going to take less time than this prediction
I don't think it's likely to be longer.
This is because the speed at which the technological revolution spreads is increasingly fast.
Recently, my basic asset is Bitcoin.
This is a very radical idea,
There will be a lot of people who give stupid ideas or worrying advice.
But no matter how many times I think about it
You can't break the tide.
You can't stop the spread of the Internet,
We can't stop smartphones from spreading.
There is no stopping AI from growing.
Transforming humans with genetic engineering is also impossible.
It is also impossible to prevent the existing Internet from changing with the blockchain.
When these technologies come into the world
There is bound to be a reactionary force.
People who have vested interests in the foundation of existing technologies
people who have difficulty adapting to new changes
There are people who want the status quo to remain.
