I'm trying to get some concepts of Art Toy recently,
I was thinking about what words could represent human beings in the 21st century.
What is the biggest event of the 21st century?
I think there are some of these things to pick from the 20th century.
- the imperial era
- Two World Wars
- the Cold War era
- the age of oil
- the age of mass media
The 21st century is still a long way off
I think this is about the number of events that have had a great impact so far.
- Technological revolution such as smartphones and AI
- Globalization (travel, telecommunications, finance, etc.)
Considering the lives of people in the early 20th century, there was a change that would really open the world.
It's not based on developed countries
Based on underdeveloped countries like Korea
If you look at the Japanese invasion period and now at the end of the Joseon Dynasty, you can see that the future has really come true.
Human beings have moved to the next level enough to be called evolution.
Things that I never imagined before
Today's human beings have been made of life.
And yet what doesn't change is
It's a group, a fight, a war.
Today is also at war on the other side of the world.
The war in Ukraine and the war in Israel are now ongoing.
There is no particular solution due to intercultural confrontation between religions between countries.
The war continues to end at any time.
Can't humans stop the war?
We fight between countries, we fight between religions, we fight between political parties..
Can't this fight stop?
Is this a characteristic of human species?
Is it because we're suggesting violence?
Why can't we stop arguing?
Why can't we only do that while looking at the giant of the advance..
I had time to think about it.
As humans learn the world
Abstract and draw sections to separate them.
Only through it do we get the concept.
Every apple in the world has its size, weight, color, taste
It's all subtly different.
But we tie it down to the concept of [apology] with some characteristics.
The common ground is to ignore the difference.
As a result, we can communicate
It is possible to talk about apologies with others.
We take concepts in language and communicate in language.
Through the technology of communication, humans have achieved civilization.
But the real world doesn't exactly match that concept.
We throw away things to throw away and turn a blind eye to get drunk.
That is not to say that the process was problematic
It's a great choice and the best achievement in human history.
We created that concept and communicated with each other
Man has risen to the realm of distinction from the beast.
