Let’s prepare today’s tea.
I want to serve refreshing scent in a tea
cup today.
I have prepared Celestial Seasonings’ Black
Cherry Berry today.
Celestial Seasonings is herb tea producing
company based in the United States.
The price is not so high, and they make
popular and low priced products that are easy to get.
This is one of my favorite too as it is
quite cost effective with good quality.
There are no strings and tags on Celestial
Seasonings’ tea bags, and this is slightly uncomfortable.
They explained the reason on the
package. It says that they got rid of
them because they are bad for the environment.
I think their marketing strategy is pretty
good as it presents a good image to the consumers and make them believe that
they care for the environment and save the production expense at the same time.
OK, let’s pour hot water and put the tea
bag inside.
It says to brew 4~6 minutes.
I’ll brew for 5 minutes then.
There are many different ways to enjoy the
tea depending on personal taste.
The most typical example would be to enjoy
the taste or enjoy the scent.
You can also enjoy the color of the
tea. In England, people try to tell one’s
fortune of
the day by looking at the power remainders after they drink the
black tea.
I came up with another new way to enjoy the
tea these days.
Once I poured hot water into the tea cup
with the tea bag in it, I watched inside the cup as the teas spread over water.
Some teas spread over very slowly while
others sink to the bottom. It made me
feel like I’m watching abstract painting.
The black cherry berry tea spread over water
as if when blood drops sink to the bottom.
Along with sourish cherry scent, it created
captivating ambience.
I thought it would be best to use the tea
cup made of clear glass to enjoy its full view.
Today’s tea is ready after 5 minutes of
brewing.
The black cherry berry tea has dark red
color like a blood.
It also has a very strong cherry scent.
But it did not last long enough. As the tea got cool down, the scent also
disappeared with it.
However, it still tasted good even after the
tea is completely cold.
I think it will be a good idea to make it
into iced tea during the summer.
The sour taste was still fresh.
It did not really leave so much of
aftertaste, but that’s what made it tastes so clean.
Try to drink it with a dessert that is not too
sweet such as a whipped cream cake with lots of strawberry on top.
